Flooring

A common application of nonwovens is to protect floors during construction and renovation work. In this context, nonwovens are used as temporary cover that protect against dirt, moisture, paint and mechanical stress. They prevent damage to wooden floors, tiles or carpet, for example, and are often provided with a non-slip or moisture-proof underlayment to ensure safety and effectiveness.

Product- and transportprotection

Nonwovens also have an important function in product and transport protection. They act as protective covers, liners or mid layers to prevent damage from friction, shock or dust formation during transport. This is particularly important with sensitive or valuable products such as electronics, glassware or automotive parts.
